Multicultural Volunteering

We also offer multicultural volunteering opportunities for Finns and immigrants. Both Finnish and immigrant-background volunteers are involved in the activities. Volunteers organize club activities and events or act as support persons for immigrants. We support the voluntary activities by providing facilities for clubs and events.

Let’s Read Together groups

In the Let’s Read Together network’s adult language group, participants learn Finnish through a variety of exercises. The course focuses on speaking, reading, and writing Finnish at a pace that matches each individual’s skill level.

The course is led by volunteers. It is open to everyone, and no prior knowledge of Finnish is required. The course is held during the autumn and spring semesters according to the Linnala’s teaching calendar.

Get in touch!

Our services are free of charge and financed by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health with organizational grants.
